Ember Wood Fired Grill in Dover

Made a reservation, we showed up 10 minutes early and they said that no one was going to be leaving for awhile and all reservations are tentative. Then she proceeded to tell us we never had one. I don’t even know what the truth is at this point. We just called 20 minutes before arrival and we drove down only because of the ability to be seated. Pretty lame... won’t go back....

I grew up in Dover and this is the restaurant we've needed! Always great food and service, whether sitting at the bar or a cozy table. Upstairs has it's own unique ambiance that you just need to experience!

Ember is what will be on your plate. Chef has no idea charred foods are loaded with HCAs and acrylimide, sangerous carcinogens. The claim is people like charred foods im told. It baffles.

We enjoyed the most delicious dinner at Ember last night. We loved the calamari appetizer. I ordered the salmon and risotto and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the rib eye. Everything had amazing flavor and we would definitely recommend for a special occasion or date night.

Way too expensive, they charged me 4 bucks for bread with my meal. The only reason I asked for bread was cuz the meal took over an hour! The noise was crazy, high ceilings made it worst. The food was just ok, for my scallop dinner I got 3 scallops and pretty boring risotto which cost me 30 bucks! Not worth the trip and money!

Excellent dinner and atmosphere. Nice to see our local restaurants doing what they can for those of us who enjoy our time out by choosing fine dining. Definitely recommend the polenta fries! There were also enough GF dishes that Kay, who has celiac, was able to enjoy a fine meal as well. Thanks for pushing through these challenging times and bringing us a slice of “kind of” normal.

First time coming in tonight, I reserved a table for two for 5:00, we were greeted quickly and politely and taken to our seats. We started off with the mussels for our appetizer, we both got the house special bourbon sangria. For our meals I got the Bourbon and Cracked Pepper Steak tips medium rare, although it was cooked slightly over it was still absolutely delicious, very tender and very flavorful. She got the Black pepper Rigatoni and pesto. We finished our dining experience with a nice desert of Chocolate stout cake served medium warm with Bailey's Irish cream whipped cream and chocolate mousse. Everything was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be coming back again!

Excellent food and service

Absolutely amazing. One of the best steaks I have had in years. Cooked to perfection. My wife and I went for our anniversary and it was outstanding. The menu is diverse and good size. Dinner specials were all so available. The bar and wait staff are some of the best in the area. We will definitely be back. And I will for sure recommend Ember.

Food and service was excellent. My only issue was they didn't have a couple of things on the menu. I'm assuming it's because of supply problems due to Covid-19. If that's the case the it's not their fault. I will return soon to see if they have those menu items back in. Otherwise great transition to outdoor dining.

Sat at a nice spot outside, didn’t have to wait long to get a table. Drinks were good..we got the pepperoni pizza and the veggie pizza, both of them were excellent. Service was great, go get the pizza! Best pizza in town in my opinion.

We visit ember regularly. Whether we stop in just for a drink and appetizer or dinner we always enjoy it. We love the atmosphere, it’s a cozy and comfortable space. We used Ember for our wedding reception and it could not have been more perfect. Rex was amazing. The staff went beyond. The food was beyond expectations! Our guests enjoyed every aspect of the evening from the appetizers, buffet, dessert, pizza and meatballs. So many complements to Ember and the staff.

Loved the ambiance, wait staff, and food. Would highly recommend.

Pizza was fantastic and Kira was lovely

This was some of the best takeout I’ve ever had. The quality of Eve was phenomenal!! The best Ahi Tuna salad I’ve ever had, the honey sriracha wings were cooked to perfection and the roasted Brussel sprouts were to die for!! Great job Ember, I highly recommend this restaurant and The Take Out Guys delivered it to me quicker than expected and the driver was very friendly!!

Me and family we up in Nh for the weekend and decide to go here. Place is beautiful, staff is great and friendly, food was amazing even though I ordered a Greek salad but instead got a Mexican salad, still was delicious but spicy. We would be back .

Truly amazing food and great atmosphere, but the service could be better. Good size portions as well for both apps and mains. Will definitely be back, it was so delicious!

Excellent food,staff and atmosphere

I found this local restaurant on Instagram. The whiskey menu was what caught my eye. My husband and I thought wed give it a try. We sat near the fireplace, it was cozy on such a cold night. The food was good as the whiskey. Having a chef for a husband and having owner a white table cloth restaurant ourselves, it takes a lot to impress us. With that being said, Ember was good and we will revisit again for another celebratory occasion in the future. We ordered a "dinner for two." Presentation and taste were good.. I would have given it a 5 star if our steak had been rare as ordered. The brussel sprouts were absolutely fantastic. We still enjoyed it and we will return.

Great atmosphere and amazing food

We went in for a few drinks and app's. Great spot to hang at the downstairs bar. We had the Margherita Pizza and Meatballs. It was delicious, we will be back.
